Once again we find ourselves in the midst of another heatwave with air temperatures expected to be in the high 20’s next week for a prolonged period. River levels are low and water temperatures are now around 20°C.
Therefore, your committee has concluded that we need to suspend all fishing on all beats from midnight Sunday 7th August 2022 to midnight Sunday 14th August 2022.
We will continue to review the situation and will update you in due course. We hope to reopen our waters as soon as possible when water temperatures have dropped sufficiently to ensure fish are no longer at risk.
